She doesn't pour wine.
She shares where it came from, who made it, and why it tastes the way it does.
Melissa Del Campo grew up in Puerto Rico, where wine was always on the table — part of the culture, part of every celebration worth having. She always knew she loved it. What took longer was believing she could turn that love into something real.
In 2019, she made the decision. She enrolled in the WSET program and worked through each level — the tastings, the theory, the examinations — earning her Level 3 certification, an advanced and internationally recognized wine qualification. That was the beginning. Since then, she has not stopped learning.
Today, she hosts private wine tastings and wine and cheese pairing experiences across Central Florida. Her tastings are personal, polished, and approachable — curated around the occasion, the guests, the palate, and the story behind each selected bottle. No scripted presentation. No generic wine list.
Before I ever studied wine formally, one grape had already captured me: Malbec.
I fell in love with it years before I set foot in Argentina, before I had the technical language to explain why it moved me. It was the first wine that made me stop and wonder why a glass could feel so connected to a place I had never visited.
Over time, that curiosity became study, travel, and a deeper way of understanding what lives behind each glass. I did not study wine to make it more complicated. I studied it because I wanted to understand what I was tasting — and share it in a way people could actually enjoy.
My relationship with WineDos goes back years. The owners are close friends, and my husband and I have had the privilege of traveling with them to support the filming of wine documentaries and visit producers firsthand.
Together, we have visited vineyards and wineries in Argentina, Chile, Spain, and Italy, learning directly from the people behind the bottles. That same curiosity has also taken me through France and Portugal, where I have visited winemakers independently and continued exploring how wine reflects place, culture, and the people who make it.
Once you stand in a vineyard and hear a producer speak about their land, their risks, and their family, wine stops feeling like a product. It becomes a story with people behind it.
I have also been part of select WineDos documentaries, especially during the tasting portions, where my role is to connect what is in the glass to the region, the producer, and the sensory experience.
Those moments shaped the way I share wine today — not as a rigid class, but as a story guests can actually feel at the table. My goal is never to make guests feel tested. It is to make them feel included, curious, and confident with every pour.
When I pour a wine at your table, I want you to understand more than the label. I want you to feel the place, the people, and the reason it belongs in that moment.
Wine Meets World was created to bring that feeling to private tables — the beauty of travel, the intimacy of a good conversation, and the pleasure of discovering wine without intimidation.
That is what I bring to every Wine Meets World tasting. Not a script. Not a catalog. A curated experience built around your occasion, your guests, and the wines that make sense for the moment. No pressure to buy. No generic presentation. Just the right bottles, the right story, and a guided experience that feels personal.
Melissa brings together formal wine education and formal cheese education — a rare combination that makes each tasting feel more thoughtful, more guided, and more memorable. Her training helps her explain not only what tastes good, but why the pairing works.
